Households can file an application the first day they contact
the

Expectation. The household
must turn in page one (1) of the AFA to file for Food Stamps. The Department
will provide an AFA to any person making a request. Requests for the
application can be made by telephone, in person or by another person. The
Department will mail or give the AFA to the person on the day requested.

Explanation of
Application Process. The Department will provide a written statement
telling what the household must do to complete the application process. The
statement will identify sources of the proof needed to complete the application
process. (3-17-22)
