Idaho Admin. Code r. 16.03.09.013 - MEDICAL CARE ADVISORY COMMITTEE (MCAC)
The
01.
Membership. The MCAC will
include the following: (7-1-23)T
a. Licensed
physicians and other health professionals familiar with the medical needs of
low-income individuals and the resources available and required for their care;

b. Members of
stakeholder organizations and Medicaid participants.

02.
Organization. The MCAC will: (7-1-23)T
a. Consist of not more than twenty-two (22)
members; (7-1-23)T
b. Be appointed
by the Director to the MCAC to serve three (3) year terms, whose terms are to
overlap; (7-1-23)T
c. Elect a
chairman and a vice-chairman to serve a two (2) year term; (7-1-23)T
d. Meet at least quarterly; and

e. Submit an activity
report and recommendations to the Director at least annually.

03.
Policy Function. The MCAC must be given opportunity to participate
in medical assistance policy development and program administration.

04.
Staff
Assistance. The MCAC must be provided staff assistance from within the
Department and independent technical assistance as needed to enable them to
make effective recommendations, and will be provided with travel and per diem
costs, where necessary. (7-1-23)T
