Ill. Admin. Code tit. 2, § 560.365 - Contributions Reported Under the Election Code
a) Any monetary or in-kind contribution made
by a person or political committee pursuant to Article 9 of the Election Code
[10 ILCS 5/9 ], need not be reported. Tickets purchased for a political
fundraising event and which constitute contributions pursuant to Article 9 of
the Election Code need not be reported regardless of whether the lobbyist or
registered entity who purchases such tickets gives any such ticket or tickets
to an official.
b) Any expenditure
by a political committee other than a single candidate or political party
relating to travel and lodging; meals, beverages, or entertainment; and gifts
or honoraria, made for or on behalf of an official, which is not provided in
return for a contribution of equal or greater value by an official to the
political committee must be reported. However, the political committee need not
register independently if its activities are directed by a registered
entity.
