Ill. Admin. Code tit. 92, § 1500.260 - Semaphore Signals
The distance from the nearest part above the top of rail of a semaphore signal post, other than a dwarf signal, to the centerline of an adjacent main track, shall be not less than 81/2 feet. For subsidiary tracks, this distance shall be not less than 8 feet.
