312 IAC 29-33-15 - Placement of cement behind uncemented casings
Authority: IC 14-37-3
Affected: IC 14-37
Sec. 15.
(a) This
section establishes requirements for ensuring the placement of cement behind
uncemented casing strings when plugging any well.
(b) If cement is not present outside a casing
at each cement plug required in this rule, an owner or operator must remove,
perforate, part, or rip the casing at fifty (50) foot intervals to ensure
adequate cement is placed in the annular space behind the casing. The division
may require an owner or operator to run a cement bond-variable density log if
sufficient information is not otherwise available to determine the location of
the cement outside the casing.
