405 IAC 2-6-2 - Medicaid eligibility for individuals leaving foster care

Sec. 2.
(a) An
individual who:
(1) is:
(A) at least eighteen (18) years of age;
and
(B) less than twenty-one (21)
years of age; and
(2)
was receiving foster care when the individual became eighteen (18) years of
age; and
(3) meets the eligibility
requirements in this section; is eligible for Medicaid.
(b) An individual described in subsection (a)
is eligible for Medicaid if his or her income does not exceed two hundred
percent (200%) of the federal poverty guidelines for the individual's family
size. Family size is determined by including the individual, his or her spouse,
and children under eighteen (18) years of age living with the individual.
Income includes the income of the individual's spouse, if the couple is living
together.
(c) Assets owned by the
individual and family members are exempt.
