Sec. 1.
(a) This
article applies to all special education programs provided for students at
least three (3) years of age through the school year in which students become
twenty-two (22) years of age, unless a CCC determines that a student will leave
school earlier.
(b) The department
of education, division of special education is the state educational agency
responsible for the general supervision of all special education programs, as
specified in IC 20-18-2-9 and IC 20-35.
(c) This article applies to all programs and
services subject to the supervision of the state educational agency, including
those programs conducted by or through the following:
(1) Public school corporations.
(2) Charter schools.
(3) Special education planning
districts.
(4) State
agencies.
(5) Other public
agencies.
