Sec. 1.
(a) This
rule applies to casino licensees and casino license applicants.
(b) The following definitions apply
throughout this rule:
(1) "Digital video
recording" means visual images of the natural world converted into numerical
data and stored on a storage medium for later reproduction.
(2) "Digital video system" means a system
used to make and store digital video recordings.
(3) "Monitor continuously" means to observe:
(A) in real time; and
(B) without interruption; an event, a
location, or an activity in its entirety.
(4) "Monitor regularly" means to periodically
observe, in real time, an event, a location, or an activity, as
appropriate.
(5) "Surveillance
employee" means an individual holding a valid Indiana occupational license to
work in the surveillance department of a casino licensee.
(6) "Surveillance manager" means the highest
ranking surveillance employee assigned to work at a casino.
(7) "Surveillance system" means a closed
circuit television system, including associated equipment, hardware, and
software, used by a casino licensee to further the purposes of the surveillance
operation as identified in section 0.5 of this rule.
(8) "Suspected problem area" means an area
where:
(A) unusual occurrences have been
observed; or
(B) reason exists to
believe unusual occurrences will occur.
