856 IAC 2-2-1 - Controlled substances code numbers

Sec. 1.

Controlled Substances Code Number.

(a) Each controlled substance, or basic class thereof, listed in Schedules I through IV [856 IAC 2-2-2 - 856 IAC 2-2-5] has been assigned a "Controlled Substances Code Number" for purposes of identification of the substances or class on certain Certificates of Registration issued by the Indiana State Board of Pharmacy pursuant to Section 3.42 [856 IAC 2-3-19] of the Chapter. Certain applicants for registration must include the appropriate numbers on the application as required in Section 3.32(d) [856 IAC 2-3-13(d)] of this Chapter.

(b) Except as stated in paragraph (a) of this section, no applicant or registrant is required to use the Controlled Substances Code Number for any purpose.
