Iowa Admin. Code r. 185-1.3 - Duties of the division
The alcoholic beverages division administers the laws of this state concerning alcoholic liquor, wine, and beer The division is vested with the sole and exclusive control within the state of Iowa both as purchaser and vendor of all alcoholic liquor sold by distilleries within the state or imported therein, except wine and beer, except as otherwise provided by law.
