Iowa Admin. Code r. 281-41.136 - Compliance

(1) General. A private school official has the right to submit a complaint to the department that the AEA:
a. Did not engage in consultation that was meaningful and timely; or
b. Did not give due consideration to the views of the private school official.
(2) Procedure.
a. If the private school official wishes to submit a complaint, the official must provide to the department the basis of the noncompliance by the AEA with the applicable private school provisions in this chapter; and
b. The AEA must forward the appropriate documentation to the department.
c. If the private school official is dissatisfied with the decision of the department, the official may submit a complaint to the Secretary by providing the information on noncompliance described in paragraph 41.136(2)"a." The department must forward the appropriate documentation to the Secretary.
