Iowa Admin. Code r. 281-41.326 - Other rules concerning IEPs
(1)
Children from birth to the age of three. A fully developed
IFSP is considered to have met the rules for an IEP for an eligible individual
younger than the age of three.
(2)
Support services only. An IEP that satisfies the requirements
of this chapter will be developed for eligible individuals who need only
special education support services. The special education support service
specialist with knowledge in the area of need will have primary responsibility
for recommending the need for support service, the type or model of service to
be provided, and the amount of service to be provided; however, the
determination that an individual is eligible for special education will be
based on these rules. Attendance at IEP meetings for students will be
determined in accordance with rule
281-41.325 (256B, 34CFR300
).
