Iowa Code r. 129-1.1 - Creation and mission

The office of the chief information officer is established in Iowa Code chapter 8B. The office leads, directs, manages, coordinates, and provides accountability for the information technology resources of state government and coordinates statewide broadband availability and access.

The mission of the office is to provide high-quality, customer-focused information technology services and business solutions to government and to the citizens of the state of Iowa.
