Iowa Code r. 481-70.16 - Maintenance of program accreditation

(1) An accredited program shall continue to be recognized for certification by the department if both of the following requirements are met:
a. The program complies with the requirements outlined in rule 481-70.15 (231D).
b. The program maintains its voluntary accreditation status for the duration of the time-limited certification period.
(2) A program that does not maintain its voluntary accreditation status must become certified by the department prior to any lapse in accreditation.
(3) A program that does not maintain its voluntary accreditation status and is not certified by the department prior to any lapse in voluntary accreditation shall cease operation as a program.
