Iowa Code r. 661-401.102 - Advice on possible rules before notice of proposed rule adoption
In addition to seeking information by other methods, the board may, before publication of a Notice of Intended Action, solicit comments from the public on a subject or subjects of possible rule making by the board by causing notice to be published in the Iowa Administrative Bulletin of the subject matter and indicating where, when, and how persons may comment, or by otherwise publicizing the interest of the board in soliciting comment on a subject or subjects of possible rule making. Any such effort shall include publication of the interest of the board on the department of public safety's website and may include publication in any other venue deemed appropriate by the board or officials or staff of the department.
