Kan. Admin. Regs. § 112-18-13 - Formation of combined wagering pool
(a) Wagering data
shall be transmitted through one of the methods authorized by this paragraph in
the following order of preference:
(1) via a
dedicated leased line data circuit;
(2) via a dial-up data circuit;
(3) via telecopy or facsimile machine on a
separate telephone line; or
(4) by
voice via cellular or dial-up telephone.
(b) Each guest and host facility shall have
adequate equipment to transmit the wagering data by any of the methods listed
in paragraph (a) of this regulation.
(c) Except as otherwise provided in this
paragraph, the odds and prices for a combined wagering pool shall be calculated
in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where the host facility is
located. In determining the amount distributable to the wagerers, each
simulcasting licensee shall use the total takeout required in the jurisdiction
where the host facility is located except as provided in 1992 SB 383, Sec.
2(j)(2). The simulcasting licensee may use the net pool pricing method for
determining the payoff prices.
(d)
Each simulcasting licensee shall ensure that the necessary records are
maintained regarding the amounts wagered at its racetrack for accounting,
auditing and reporting purposes.
