Kan. Admin. Regs. § 28-39-157 - Specialized rehabilitation services
Each nursing facility shall provide or obtain rehabilitative services for residents, including physical therapy, speech-language pathology, audiology, and occupational therapy.
(a) Provision of services. If specialized
rehabilitative services are required in the resident's comprehensive plan of
care, the facility shall:
(1) Provide the
required services; or
(2) obtain
the required services from an outside resource in accordance with K.A.R.
28-39-163(h), from a provider of specialized rehabilitation services.
(b) Qualified personnel
shall provide specialized rehabilitation services under the written order of a
physician.
(c) The facility shall
develop policies and procedures for the provision of specialized rehabilitation
services.
