Kan. Admin. Regs. § 60-3-106a - Temporary permit
(a) A temporary
permit to practice as a registered professional nurse or licensed practical
nurse for a period not to exceed 120 days may be issued to an applicant who
holds a license in a state or territory of the United States that was granted
by an examination approved by the board for either of the following:
(1) To enable the applicant to gain
employment while completing continuing education requirements necessary for
reinstatement of a Kansas license; or
(2) to enable the applicant to gain
employment while completing the requirements necessary for endorsement.
(b) A copy of the
applicant's current nursing license in another state or in a territory of the
United States shall be required for issuance of a temporary permit for
endorsement and for reinstatement of a Kansas license as prescribed by K.A.R.
60-3-105.
