La. Admin. Code tit. 48, § I-5099 - General Provisions
A. The
provider applying to be licensed as a supported employment provider agency
shall meet all of the HCBS provider core licensing requirements with the
exception of the following requirements. The supported employment provider
agency is not required to:
1. return all
telephone calls from client's within one business day, other than during
working hours;
2. have written
policies and procedures approved by the owner or governing body that addresses
client funds and emergency preparedness;
3. have written policies and procedures for
behavior management, provided that the provider has no client with behavior
management issues;
4. have licensed
nursing services staff and direct care staff;
5. have a client's assessment of needs
conducted by a registered nurse; and
6. maintain progress notes at the client's
home.
B. The
administrator of the supported employment provider agency shall be exempt from
the education qualifications listing in the core licensing requirements of this
Chapter.
C. The assessment of needs
shall be done prior to placement of the client on a job site. A Medicaid HCBS
comprehensive assessment approved by an LDH program office for a Medicaid
recipient shall not substitute for the assessment of needs. A comprehensive
plan of care approved by the department for Medicaid or waiver reimbursement
shall not substitute for the ISP.
