La. Admin. Code tit. 56, § V-101 - Water Wells That Shall Be Registered
A.
All wells which supply a public water system, regardless of yield, must be
registered with the state.
B. All
other water wells capable of producing more than 50,000 gallons per day must be
registered. For wells in the district that are exempt from registration by the
commission, refer to §105 Refer to
§103 for procedures for registering water
wells used in connection with petroleum activities.
C. Procedures for determining when a water
well is considered registered and procedures for determining responsibility for
registering water wells are given in §107
