SUMMARY: This rule establishes a funding source and a mechanism for collecting those funds to support the position in the Commission for an interconnection ombudsman, as established by P.L. 2023, Chapter 307, as amended by P.L. 2024, Chapter 643, § WWW-1, codified at 35-A M.R.S. § 3474.

BASIS STATEMENT: The factual and policy basis for this Rule is set forth in the Commission's Order Adopting Rule and Statement of Factual and Policy Basis, Docket No. 2024-00218, issued on November 19, 2024. Copies of this Statement and Order have been filed with this rule at the Office of the Secretary of State. EFFECTIVE DATE: This rule was approved as to form and legality by the Attorney General on December 4, 2024. It was filed with the Secretary of State on December 6, 2024 and became effective on 12/11/2024 (filing 2024-264).
