Md. Code Regs. 09.12.45.03 - Vehicle Liability Insurance
A. A farm labor contractor may not use, or
cause to be used, a vehicle to transport migrant agricultural workers in this
State unless the farm labor contractor has purchased an insurance policy in
amounts not less than the following:
| 12 or less passengers | More than 12 passengers | |
| Limit for bodily injuries to or death of one person | $100,000 | $100,000 |
| Limit for bodily injuries to or death of all persons injured or killed in any one accident (subject to a maximum of $100,000 for bodily injuries to or death of one person) | $300,000 | $500,000 |
| Limit for loss or damage in any one accident to property of others (excluding cargo) | $ 50,000 | $ 50,000 |
B.
The insurance policy shall be obtained from a company authorized to do business
as an insurance company in this State.
C. A certificate of insurance in the required
amounts shall be filed with the Commissioner before the issuance of a
license.
D. The insurance company
which has issued the insurance policy shall notify the Commissioner of the
cancellation of the policy at least 30 days before the cancellation.
