Md. Code Regs. 16.17.01.02 - Definitions
A. In this chapter, the following terms have the meanings indicated.
B. Terms Defined.
(1) "Core services" means only the following:
(a) Individual, family, and group counseling;
(b) Referral and information services;
(c) Crisis intervention including activities relating to youth suicide prevention;
(d) Substance abuse assessment and referral services; and
(e) Informal counseling.
(2) "Department" means the Department of Juvenile Services.
(3) "Substance abuse" means alcohol and drug abuse.
(4) "Bureau" means a youth services bureau, which is a community-based nonresidential program that is established pursuant to Human Services Article, ยง
9-233, Annotated Code of Maryland.
