205 CMR 12.10 - Inspection Procedures
(1) All racing
kennels shall be available for inspection, at all times, by the Commission
Veterinarian, State Police, or other designated representatives of the
Commission. Vehicles used to transport greyhounds shall be considered part of
the kennel and are subject to inspection.
(2) Inspections may be announced or
unannounced.
(3) A representative
of the kennel shall be present to assist during the inspection.
(4) A copy of any inspection report,
detailing the findings of the inspection, shall be made available to the
kennel.
(5) A follow-up inspection
may be conducted if corrective measures are required, or if sick or poorly
maintained greyhounds are discovered. The Commission may seek assistance from
Animal Control authorities for the removal and/or treatment of sick and poorly
maintained greyhounds.
