205 CMR 8.03 - Duties of Trainers
(1) Any
trainer/kennel operator responsible for the disposition of a greyhound who has
schooled, qualified or raced at a Massachusetts track shall fill out a
statement of Disposition before such disposition may take place. The form is
available in the Racing Commission Office and must be witnessed by a M.S.R.C.
(Massachusetts State Racing Commission) Inspector and filed with the Greyhound
Racing Secretary.
(2) No owner,
trainer or kennel operator shall cause or permit any racing or retired
greyhound to be put to death until reasonable efforts by such owner, trainer,
or kennel operator to place such greyhound for adoption with a responsible
person or entity have been exhausted. No racing or retired greyhound shall be
put to death except in a humane manner.
