522 CMR, § 16.02 - NFPA 85 Boiler and Combustion Systems Hazards Code - 2019
(1) In accordance with the provisions of
M.G.L. c. 146, § 2, the Board adopts the NFPA 85 Boiler and
Combustion Systems Hazards Code - 2019.

CMR 16.02 shall apply to all Boilers equal to
or greater than 12.5 million Btu/hr.

Requirements.

CMR 16.02 shall apply to Boilers restricted
to the following services: Single burner Boilers, multiple burner Boilers,
stokers, and atmospheric fluidized-bed Boilers with a fuel input rating of 12.5
million Btu/hr or greater, to pulverized fuel systems, to fired and unfired
steam generators used to recover heat from combustion turbines (heat recovery
steam generators (HRSGs)), and to other combustion turbine exhaust
systems.
