524 CMR, § 29.08 - Lifting Capacities and Speed
(1) The lifting
capacity of an orchestra or organ console elevator shall be equal to a live
load of not less than 25 lbs. per square foot of floor area of the platform.
All railings, aprons, and wiring conduits shall all be considered as part of
moveable platforms.
(2) The lifting
capacity of a stage elevator shall be equal to a live load of not less than 75
lbs. per square foot of floor area of that platform.
(3)
Speed. Stage,
orchestra, and organ console elevators shall not exceed a speed limit of 15
feet per minute.
