540 CMR, § 18.01 - Scope and Purpose

Scope and Purpose. 540 CMR 18.00 is adopted by the
Registrar of Motor Vehicles to provide uniform procedures and requirements for
the application and issuance of general registrations and general registration
number plates under M.G.L. c. 90, §§ 5 and 31, and to regulate the
use of those plates.
