Subpart 1.
Natural gas and electricity
service.
A. The commissioner must
provide subsistence assistance to eligible recipients for natural gas and
electricity service.
B. Subsistence
benefits under this subpart are limited to:
(1) monthly recurring usage charges and fees
for natural gas and electricity service established before the date of
application for subsistence;
(2)
charges for appliance maintenance or replacement plans that are part of a
recipient's monthly natural gas or electric bill if the plan was in place
before the date of application for subsistence; and
(3) monthly charges for voluntary programs
funding clean energy initiatives, energy conservation programs, and programs
for low-income energy assistance.
Subp. 2.
Telephone service.
A. The commissioner must provide subsistence
assistance to eligible recipients for either landline or cellular telephone
service but not both.
B.
Subsistence assistance under this subpart is limited to:
(1) monthly recurring service and usage
charges and fees for telephone service that was established before the date of
application for subsistence; and
(2) local, state, and federal taxes and
surcharges for telephone service.
Subp. 3.
Internet service.
A. The commissioner must provide subsistence
assistance to eligible recipients for Internet service.
B. Subsistence under this subpart is limited
to:
(1) monthly recurring service charges and
fees for Internet service that are established before the date of application
for subsistence;
(2) Internet and
voice equipment rental charges; and
(3) local, state, and federal taxes and fees
for Internet service.
