15 Miss. Code. R. 16-1-48.19.8 - Basement
1. The basement shall be considered as a
story if one-half (1/2) or more of its clear height is above the average
elevation of the ground adjoining the building on all sides.
2. No resident shall be housed on any floor
that is below ground level.
