SECTIONS 1101 and 1102 below do not apply to those projects on which the access rights between median openings were purchased with the right of way. On these projects no provision was made for construction of frontage roads either partly or wholly on the right of way. Refer to the MDOT Access Management Manual, Sections 2 and 5, Median Policy for further details on medians.
