129 Neb. Admin. Code, ch. 1, § 053 - "Emissions unit"

"Emissions unit" means any part or activity of a stationary source, which emits or would have the potential to emit any regulated air pollutant ("regulated NSR pollutant" for purposes of the Prevention of Significant Deterioration program) or any pollutant listed in Appendix II. This term includes electric steam generating units. This term is not meant to alter or affect the definition of the "unit" for purposes of Chapter 26.

053.01 For purposes of the Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) program, there are two types of emissions units:
053.01A A new emissions unit is any emissions unit that is (or will be) newly constructed and that has existed for less than 2 years from the date such emissions unit first operated; and
053.01B An existing emissions unit is any emissions unit that does not meet the requirements in 053.01A above.
