178 Neb. Admin. Code, ch. 22, § 014 - WORK PRACTICES TO BE FOLLOWED FOR ASBESTOS ENCLOSURE PROJECTS
To use enclosure as a method of controlling asbestos fiber release from asbestos containing material, the licensed or waivered business entity or licensed individual must comply with the following:
(A) Establish general security and management work practices in accordance with 178 NAC 22-010;
(B) Preclean the area to be enclosed with a high efficiency particulate air filter-equipped vacuuming device or by wet cleaning methods;
(C) Ensure that the area containing the asbestos containing material to be enclosed can be sealed airtight within the enclosure and that the underlying structure can support the weight of the enclosure;
(D) Install the enclosure in such a manner as to minimize disturbance of asbestos containing material; and
(E) Designate enclosed asbestos containing material by labels, signs, charts or color codes in order to warn building maintenance personnel in the event the enclosure must be disturbed.
