Nev. Admin. Code § 284.406 - Provisional appointments
1. An appointing
authority may make a provisional appointment pursuant to
NRS
284.310 if there are fewer than five ranks of
eligible persons available for appointment to the position.
2. The Division of Human Resource Management
will begin the recruitment within 30 days after the effective date of the
provisional appointment.
3. A
provisional appointment may not continue for longer than 30 days after a list
of five or more ranks of eligible persons who are available for appointment has
been certified.
