Nev. Admin. Code § 289.380 - Disciplinary actions in schools operated by Commission
1. This section applies to students who are
enrolled in a school operated by the Commission.
2. The representative of the Commission who
is in charge of the school or the instructor of a course may:
(a) Orally reprimand a student;
(b) Assign extra work to the
student;
(c) Restrict the student's
privileges; or
(d) Remove a
disruptive student from the class, when that action is necessary to maintain
orderly conduct at the school. The representative shall report any such action
to the Executive Director.
3. The Executive Director may, upon his or
her own initiative or upon facts and a recommendation presented by the
representative, take one of the following disciplinary actions in any case
where that action is necessary to maintain order at the school or to ensure the
integrity or professionalism of the program of training:
(a) Written reprimand of a student;
(b) Suspension of a student; or
(c) Dismissal of a student.
4. The Executive Director shall
notify the administrator of the agency which employs the student in writing in
all cases of disciplinary action.
5. Any student subjected to disciplinary
action pursuant to the provisions of this section may appeal the action taken
to the Commission.
