Nev. Admin. Code § 446.428 - Water reservoirs of fogging devices
1. A reservoir
that is used to supply water to a device such as a produce fogger must be:
(a) Maintained in accordance with the
manufacturer's specifications; and
(b) Cleaned in accordance with the
manufacturer's specifications or according to the procedures set forth in
subsection 2, whichever is more stringent.
2. Cleaning procedures must include at least
the following steps and must be conducted at least once a week:
(a) Draining and complete disassembly of the
water and aerosol contact parts;
(b) Brush-cleaning the reservoir, aerosol
tubing and discharge nozzles with a suitable detergent solution;
(c) Flushing the complete system with water
to remove the detergent solution and particulate accumulation; and
(d) Rinsing by immersing, spraying or
swabbing the reservoir, aerosol tubing and discharge nozzles with at least 50
mg/L of hypochlorite solution.
