Nev. Admin. Code § 624.7263 - Request for continuance; granting of continuance
1. A
respondent or a respondent's attorney may request a continuance of a hearing
upon a showing of good cause. A request for a continuance must be submitted to
the Executive Officer in writing on a form prescribed by the Board. The request
must be received by the Executive Officer at least 14 days before the
hearing.
2. A request for a
continuance must specify the reasons constituting good cause for granting the
continuance. A request for a continuance that is received less than 14 days
before the hearing must indicate that the request is the result of an emergency
which arose less than 14 days before the hearing.
3. The Executive Officer may grant a
continuance before a hearing is held if the request for a continuance is
received more than 14 days before the hearing. The Board or its designee may
grant a continuance if the request for a continuance is received not more than
14 days before the hearing. The Board or its designee may continue a hearing at
any time after the hearing is commenced.
