N.H. Admin. Code § Ret 307.01 - Computation
(a) For the purpose of determining service
credit, fractions of a year of service for employees, police officers and
firefighters shall be computed to the nearest 12th. Notwithstanding the
foregoing, employees whose regular work year is at least 10 months but less
than 12 months shall be eligible to receive one year of service credit for one
regular work year of service, and fractions of a year shall be computed to the
nearest 10th.
(b) In the case of teachers, or employees
whose regular work year is the 10 month school year, the period from the
commencement of the school year through the close of the school year shall
constitute one school year of 10 months, and fractions of a year shall be
computed to the nearest 10th.
