N.J. Admin. Code § 10:87-1.13 - Public Notification Plan
(a)
The CWA shall publicize the procedure described in
N.J.A.C. 10:87-1.12.
(b) At least once every fiscal year, the CWA
shall advise local minority group organizations, in writing, that the NJ SNAP
program is available to all eligible households on a nondiscriminatory basis
and of the complaint procedures. If there are no minority group organizations
in the county, the CWA shall contact minority ministers, teachers, and/or other
community leaders in the county, informing them of this nondiscrimination
policy.
(c) The CWA shall maintain
file copies of correspondence concerning public notification of
nondiscrimination. These documents shall be available for inspection during
audits and compliance reviews conducted by State and Federal offices.
(d) The CWA shall display a nondiscrimination
poster (supplied by FNS and/or DFD) in all local NJ SNAP certification
offices.
(e) The CWA shall ensure
that participants (and other low-income households) have access to information
regarding their rights, nondiscrimination statutes and policies and complaint
procedures, no later than 10 days from the date the information is
requested.
(f) The CWA shall advise
applicants for program participation that his or her application shall be
processed without discrimination in accordance with
N.J.A.C. 10:87-1.11.
