N.J. Admin. Code § 10:87-3.7 - Eligible alien
(a)
Qualified aliens who have been lawfully admitted for permanent U.S. residence
and/or who are permanently and lawfully residing in the U.S. shall be eligible
for participation in the NJ SNAP program. For a specific listing of aliens
eligible for program benefits, see
N.J.A.C. 10:87-3.8.
(b) The presence of a person in the household
who is ineligible for participation in the program because of his or her alien
status shall not prevent the remainder of the household from being certified
for program benefits, if eligible (see also
N.J.A.C. 10:87-2.19(c) ).
(c) If the household is
comprised of minors (who are eligible for participation in the program) and an
adult member who is ineligible for program benefits because of his or her alien
status, such adult may make application on behalf of the remaining members of
the household. However, if there is another adult in the household who is
eligible for benefits, that person shall make application.
