N.J. Admin. Code § 10A:1-4.7 - Responsibilities of the Administrator
(a) The
Administrator or designee shall be responsible for:
1. Designating a correctional facility staff
member(s) to coordinate and to be responsible for matters pertaining to the
Inmate Remedy System;
2. Ensuring
that "Inmate Inquiry Forms" and "Inmate Grievance Forms" submitted by inmates
through the Inmate Remedy System are responded to by appropriate correctional
facility staff in a timely manner;
3. Reviewing all "Administrative Appeals,"
making the final Department of Corrections decision relative to the
"Administrative Appeal" and ensuring the decision or finding is provided to the
inmate within the designated time frame; and
4. Ensuring the development and maintenance
of written internal management procedures governing the Inmate Remedy System
that are consistent with the requirements of this subchapter.
