N.J. Admin. Code § 13:39-11.22 - Handling, packaging, and delivery
(a) The pharmacy
shall be responsible for the proper handling and packaging of compounded
sterile preparations for delivery from the pharmacy to the patient in order to
assure and maintain the integrity, efficacy, stability, and sterility of these
preparations. The pharmacist-in-charge shall ensure that:
1. Tamper-evident packaging is
utilized;
2. Delivery is made from
the pharmacy to the patient or patient care location within a reasonable time;
and
3. Proper in-transit storage is
provided consistent with product labeling.
