N.J. Admin. Code § 7:9A-1.2 - Scope
(a) This chapter
prescribes standards for the location, design, construction, installation,
alteration, repair and operation of individual subsurface sewage disposal
systems.
(b) Except as otherwise
provided by
58:11-25 or in N.J.A.C. 7:14A, the
following shall constitute the rules of the New Jersey Department of
Environmental Protection for all individual subsurface sewage disposal systems
with an expected volume of sanitary sewage less than or equal to 2,000 gpd and
shall be regarded as the minimum uniform standards, in force throughout the
State, governing individual subsurface sewage disposal systems. Different
requirements or specifications for individual subsurface sewage disposal
systems may be set forth in a treatment works approval, general NJPDES permit
or individual NJPDES permit as provided at N.J.A.C. 7:14A.
