N.M. Admin. Code § 20.6.2.5300 - REQUIREMENTS FOR CLASS I HAZARDOUS WASTE INJECTION WELLS
A. Except as otherwise provided for in
20.6.2.5300 through 20.6.2.5399
NMAC, Class I hazardous waste wells are subject to the minimum permit
requirements for all Class I wells in
20.6.2.5000 through 20.6.2.5299
NMAC, in addition to the requirements of
20.6.2.5300 through 20.6.2.5399
NMAC. To the extent any requirement in
20.6.2.5300 through 20.6.2.5399
NMAC conflicts with a requirement of
20.6.2.5000 through 20.6.2.5299
NMAC, Class I hazardous waste injection wells must comply with
20.6.2.5300 through 20.6.2.5399
NMAC.
B. Class I hazardous waste
injection wells are only authorized for use by petroleum refineries for the
waste generated by the refinery ("generator").
C. The New Mexico energy, minerals and
natural resources department , oil conservation division will administer and
oversee all permitting of Class I hazardous waste wells pursuant to
20.6.2.5300 through 20.6.2.5399
