N.Y. Comp. Codes R. & Regs. Tit. 21 § 2053.1 - Purpose and scope; general provisions
(a) This Part is adopted by the United
Nations Development Corporation in compliance with the provisions of the
Personal Privacy Protection Law, article 6-A of the Public Officers
Law.
(b) The corporation shall
maintain in its records only such personal information as is relevant and
necessary to accomplish a purpose of the corporation that is required to be
accomplished by statute or executive order, or to implement a program
specifically authorized by law. Upon expiration of any possible statute of
limitations respecting the rights and obligations of the corporation, it shall
dispose of such records and personal information as are no longer useful or
necessary for its purposes.
(c)
Personal information will be collected by the corporation, whenever
practicable, directly from the person to whom the information
pertains.
(d) The corporation shall
seek to ensure that all records pertaining to or used with respect to
determinations about individuals are accurate, relevant, timely and complete
and shall ensure that the provisions of this Part apply to any contract it
executes for the operation of a system of records, or to contracts for
research, evaluation or reporting by or on behalf of the
corporation.
