N.Y. Comp. Codes R. & Regs. Tit. 6 § 642.1 - General
There is established a Division of Law Enforcement within the Department of Environmental Conservation. The Division of Law Enforcement shall be sanctioned as the New York State Environmental Conservation Police. The organization of the division including, but not limited to, reporting line of authority and chain of command shall be established in the policies and procedures manual of the Department of Environmental Conservation.
