10A N.C. Admin. Code 63F .0105 - MAINTENANCE
(a) Maintenance
shall be provided by the Division only in order to enable an applicant or
eligible consumer to derive the full benefit of other vocational rehabilitation
services being provided. Service costs shall be limited to the amount of
increased costs that are in excess of the normal expenses that are necessitated
by the applicant or the eligible consumer's participation in a rehabilitation
program.
(b) The major types of
living expenses covered by maintenance payments are as follows:
(1) board;
(2) room;
(3) laundry;
(4) clothing; and
(5) other subsistence expenses necessary to
achieve the eligible consumer's vocational rehabilitation outcome.
(c) The Division may provide
maintenance or partial maintenance following placement only until the eligible
consumer receives his first full minimum remuneration. In case of a
self-employed person, maintenance may not exceed a period of 30 days.
