Ohio Admin. Code 145-2-38 - Survivors of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty
(A) As used in this
rule:
(1) "Law enforcement officer" has the
same meaning as in rule
145-2-39
of the Administrative Code.
(2)
"Killed in the line of duty" has the same meaning as in section
145.45 of the Revised Code.
(B) For purposes of
determining the eligibility of a qualified spouse under division (B)(2)(a)(i)
of section 145.45 of the Revised Code, the
employer of the law enforcement officer at the time of the officer's death
shall certify, on a form provided by the public employees retirement system,
that the law enforcement officer was killed in the line of duty.
