Ohio Admin. Code 3701:1-37-24 - Applicability of physical protection of category one and category two quantities of radioactive material during transit
(A) For shipments of category one quantities
of radioactive material, each shipping licensee shall comply with the
requirements for physical protection contained in rules
3701:1-37-25
to
3701:1-37-28
of the Administrative Code.
(B) For
shipments of category two quantities of radioactive material, each shipping
licensee shall comply with the requirements for physical protection contained
in rules
3701:1-37-25,
3701:1-37-27
and
3701:1-37-28
of the Administrative Code. For those shipments of category two quantities of
radioactive material that meet the criteria of rule
3701:1-50-23
of the Administrative Code, the shipping licensee shall also comply with the
advance notification provisions of rule
3701:1-50-23
of the Administrative Code.
(C) The
shipping licensee shall be responsible for meeting the requirements of
this chapter
rules
3701:1-37-23
to
3701:1-37-28
of the Administrative Code unless the receiving licensee has agreed in
writing to arrange for the in-transit physical protection required under
this chapter
rules
3701:1-37-23
to
3701:1-37-28
of the Administrative Code .
(D) Each licensee that imports or exports
category one quantities of radioactive material shall comply with the
requirements for physical protection during transit contained in rules
3701:1-37-25
to
3701:1-37-28
of the Administrative Code for the domestic portion of the shipment.
(E) Each licensee that imports or exports
category two quantities of radioactive material shall comply with the
requirements for physical protection during transit contained in rules
3701:1-37-27
and
3701:1-37-28
of the Administrative Code for the domestic portion of the shipment.
