Ohio Admin. Code 3745-73-04 - Emission test methods and reporting requirements

(A) Compliance with any applicable emission
limit for total reduced sulfur as specified in rule
3745-73-03
of the Administrative Code shall be determined according to one of the
following:
(1) One of the reference methods
described in 40 CFR Part 60, Appendix A.
(2) Any method determined by the director to
be equivalent to paragraph (A)(1) of this rule.
(B) In lieu of the procedure specified in
paragraph (A) of this rule, the owner or operator of a source that is subject
to this chapter may elect to monitor compliance through use of a continuous
monitor. The continuous monitor shall operate at
least seventy per cent of the time during any calendar quarter. In the
event the monitor malfunctions and is unusable for more than
twenty-five
five per cent of the time during a calendar quarter, the director shall
be notified in writing
the quarterly excess emission report specifying the
cause of the monitor malfunction, actions being taken to correct the
malfunction and the estimated time before the monitor will be
functional.
